Access to investors and/or financial support is given exclusively to startups incubated in The Foundation.
What are the selection metrics for The Foundation Council?
The Foundation Council judges a startup on the basis of business model and the team which means that you not only have to have a high-growth, sustainable business idea but also a team of passionate and committed co-founders.
What are the different kinds of programs that you offer?
Startups who apply at The Foundation can choose from:
Incubation(5% equity)
Acceleration (2.5% equity)
Can students apply for the incubation program?
Yes, students can apply, provided they are ready to commit full time to their venture and to NIC and does not have schedules of their classes clashing with the program. However, we encourage that you apply after you have graduated as it shows full-time commitment.
Is there a fee for the incubation/acceleration program?
There is no fee for the incubation/acceleration program, however, National Incubation Center, Lahore has an equity in your business depending on the type of program you choose.
What is the process of induction into the incubation/acceleration program in National Incubation Center, Lahore?
Startups are required to submit their business idea through our online application. Once submitted, the applications are vetted, short interviews are conducted and the shortlisted ones are forwarded to the last step, where these startups are required to pitch their idea in front of The Foundation Council.
How can I be a part of the mentors network?
If you wish to become a part of our mentors network, you should send us your resume and/or portfolio at niclahore@lums.edu.pk suggesting the same. Your profile will be reviewed and one of the NIC team members will get back to you with further correspondence in case your profile matches our domain.
