LUMS recently organized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Impact Challenge (KPIC) with the support from Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (GoKP)

LUMS through its School of Education (SoE) and National Incubation Center Lahore (NIC) is implementing the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Impact Challenge (KPIC) with the support of Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (GoKP). This project is aimed at enabling youth, particularly women and rural youth, to set up and run enterprises and attain a sustainable livelihood.

One of the main features of the project is to select universities from across KP and train selected faculty members from each, with the objective that, by the conclusion of the training programme, they will be certified as entrepreneurship trainers, and will be able to replicate the training programme at their respective universities. The selected faculty members will participate in three cohorts; in the first cohort, their participation will be as trainees, in the second cohort they will observe the training, and in the third cohort they will act as co-trainers. After the third and final cohort faculty will select a suitable cohort and conduct entrepreneurship training in their respective universities, duly supervised by the LUMS team for quality assurance and mentoring.

NIC Lahore has received over one thousand applications from all over KP for this programme which were solicited via courier, WhatsApp and GUST portal for its first cohort. Applications for the second cohort are currently open and will be closed on March 10th, 2018.
