About the Makers Lab
For any start-up founder, there’s nothing more rewarding than witnessing a vision evolve into a tangible, functional product. It is this very transformation—from idea to impact—that lies at the heart of the LUMS Centre for Entrepreneurship (LCE). And this vision would be incomplete without The Makers Lab—a state-of-the-art suite of five specialised labs designed to empower innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs with the tools they need to bring their ideas to life.
Established through a strategic collaboration between LUMS and Fatima Ventures and operated under the stewardship of LCE, the Makers Lab is aims to become a catalyst for innovation and a beacon for the growing makers culture in Pakistan. With cutting-edge equipment and expert guidance, the lab enables users to quickly prototype, test, and refine their solutions, accelerating the journey from concept to market-ready product.

The facility offers a wide array of resources—including machining tools, electronic circuit development, 3D printing, as well as wood and metal fabrication—all under one roof.
